IREM MD Volunteer - Moveable Feast

Join IREM MD Chapter 16 as we give back to our community by volunteering with Moveable Feast, a Baltimore-based nonprofit dedicated to preparing and delivering medically tailored meals and nutrition services to individuals living with serious illnesses.

On Friday, May 22, 2026, our team will assist in the Moveable Feast kitchen with food preparation and meal packaging that directly supports individuals and families in need. Volunteers will help prepare fresh ingredients, assemble meals, and package food that will be delivered to clients throughout the region.

Volunteer Shifts Available:

• Morning Shift: 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM (10 volunteers)

• Afternoon Shift: 12:15 PM – 3:00 PM (8 volunteers)

Volunteer Tasks May Include:

• Washing, chopping, and seasoning produce

• Prepping proteins

• Bagging fresh produce

• Packaging and labeling meal trays

• Sorting meals by dietary needs and delivery schedules

• Assisting with kitchen cleaning such as wiping tables, washing dishes, sweeping, and mopping

Volunteers should be comfortable standing for extended periods and performing light food preparation tasks while following kitchen safety and sanitation guidelines.

This is a meaningful opportunity for IREM members and industry partners to come together, support an incredible local organization, and make a tangible impact in the community.
